When Soft Is Louder

The words of the wise are heard when spoken softly, more than the shout of a ruler of fools.

There is a famous Alshich on this verse.

When someone, need it be a Mashgiach, Rabbi or a caring parent, is trying to 'criticize' his pupil or son, he shouldn't 'shout of a ruler of fools'. He shoud't yell and scream "You fool, you behave like an idiot! You are nothing but a fool!!"...

Rather, he should speak 'The words of the wise', "Dear Son, you are so wise and good... It's not you who commited that sin. Nichneas boi tuach shtus. Now be strong! be strong and grow!" And it will be heard.
