Most interesting. But this dialogue with your dad brings up other questions: Is he accepting of all your frumkeit, even if he doesn't understand or practise it himself? Did he/or your mother ever pose a stumbling block for you? The questions can continue, but it's your choice whether or not you want to touch upon the answers in a future post.

Pearl: I think he has grown to accept it - at least in part. I think everyone runs into intial stumbling blocks with "non-religious" family members when they do something different than what their parents do. Perhaps I will write more on this subject in future posts as you suggested.
