She Is Here!

With gratitude to Hashem, I am pleased to announce that this morning at 10:10 a.m. my wife gave birth to a beautiful 8-pound 4-ounce baby girl. Both mother and baby are healthy and doing well. My three year-old daughter was also estatic to learn the news that she now has a little sister and is excited to go see Mommy and the new baby in the hospital this afternoon.

We plan to give our new baby girl a name this Shabbos at our shul.

Thank you to all those who have left comments since the time of my last comment. I wish I had time to respond individually, but I don't have time now.

I am about to go back to the hospital with my daughter for another visit. It has been very difficult for her to be away from her mommy.

Although my son knows something different is going on and looks around for his mommy, he has been enjoying all the attention from his grandparents.

CE You asked earlier:
Yitz - has anyone ever named a baby Yerushalayim yet?
I knew someone who named his daughter Yisraela because she was born on this day... And a Bobover I know, proposes the name Ben-Zion for a boy ;-)

I found this on the Hirhurim blog:

And a mazel tov to the new baby on my block who thankfully was not named Yerushalaymah but Yoninah, presumably because of the midrash about Yonah's wife going to Jerusalem.

ASJ, We're waiting with bated breath to know her name... :)

For the sake of anonymity I am not going to post my daughter's name on the blog, but I will happy to tell anyone who e-mails me.
