Double Parsha Week - Wishing Every Year Was A Leap Year

(Painting by Talko)

I prefer a week where there is only one parsha. It is difficult to learn two parshas with any depth, and with anything more than Rashi's commentary, in the same amount of time that one would spend learning just one parsha.

Does anyone else feel this way?

Oh yes! As The Zohar is written in the form of a commentary on the parshas, I have been trying to learn Zohar in conjunction with the relevant parsha, since some of these sections can run to almost 100 pages (in translation) I end up borrowing from the shorter parshas to complete the longer ones. The double parshas, Oy, I may never get caught up again.

I am glad to hear that I am not alone here. 100 pages! wow...that is some undertaking. I am impressed.
