This picture reminds me of a story with Rabbi Greenglass shy' and Rabbi Shmuel Dovid Raichik a"h.
They were running from Warsaw to Vilna at the outset of the War, but met a group of Nazis on the way.
The Nazis wet through their bags, and found their Tefillin.
When asked what they did with them, the two bochurim answered that they prayed with them . . . For how long? Ten minutes.
The Nazi beasts asked them to remove all of their clothing, dawn their tefillin and shukel with them for ten minutes -outside in the dead of winter!
Rabbi Raichik's son commented that the nes was that the two bochurim said they only prayed for ten minutes - and not the hours that they realy davened!
