That's amazing artwork, though some of it looks almost like Chagall (which isn't bad, just not as fresh)

It's almost as if the artist is trying to imitate other great artists with Cubism, Chagall's work, Picasso, Van Gogh, etc. It's really beautiful work, a definite mixture.

I, too, was struck by the odd mixture of styles. The link to the web site has a detailed biography, which mentions that, in his early years, he was part of the Russian-Jewish avant-garde. In later years, his style evolved from cubism to expressionism. So he's difficult to "peg": there's a little of everything here.

Suprematism was a big influence on Russian artists, too.

Issachar Ber Ryback was a contemporary of EARLY Chagall and was part of the same art circle; I've actually studied that period and his work. So he was not "copying" Chagall! Ber Rybback was a great artist in his own right, as were other Jewish artists of the time, such as Boris Aronson and El Lissitzky, among others.
